What BoilerNet collects

Applications collect contact details, Purdue affiliation, founder or mentor experience, availability, and the context needed to review fit. Approved members may later provide mentorship requests, scheduling information, meeting notes, and optional transcript consent.

Why it is used

BoilerNet uses this information to vet membership, route requests, coordinate meetings, support founder–mentor relationships, protect network quality, and meet privacy or safety obligations.

Who can access it

Applications are limited to authorized BoilerNet administrators. Relationship context is limited to the participants and explicitly authorized administrators. BoilerNet does not publish applications, private notes, messages, or transcripts.

Retention and control

Application information remains in the private review queue until follow-up or an authorized deletion. BoilerNet does not currently claim an automatic deletion schedule. Future retention periods must be documented before they are activated. Applicants and members can request access, correction, export, or deletion by emailing aadit@boilernet.com. BoilerNet may need to verify the requester’s identity before acting, and limited audit records may need to be retained.

Transcripts and recordings

Recording or transcription is optional and requires explicit participant consent. A no-recording meeting path remains available.
